About this webinar
Shared from Mind Care Loop, a sister society on Doctoloop. The best care happens when our societies learn from each other, so every Doctoloop member is welcome to join.
Most of what we know about ADHD and autism comes from studies on boys. Girls show up differently. They mask, they work twice as hard to fit in, and they are often treated for anxiety or depression first. Many are not diagnosed until their twenties, if at all.
In this session, Dr. Erica J. Lee shares what she sees every day in her practice, and gives you a clear way to spot the girls and young women who fall through the cracks.
Wednesday, October 14, 2026 · 12:00 PM ET · 45 minutes · Live on Zoom, replay for registered members
What we will cover
- Why girls present differently, and how masking hides the signs
- How emotional dysregulation can cover up the real diagnosis
- What a late diagnosis costs a young woman, at school, in relationships and in her sense of self
- Practical red flags any therapist or pediatrician can use in a first visit
- When and how to refer for a full evaluation
- Live Q&A
Who it is for
Therapists, pediatricians, psychiatrists and nurse practitioners. The clinicians who see these patients first.
